Yes i would just pick up a rental the drive out of the airport is well signposted for Wollongong, head straight down the freeway to just after Sutherland and follow the signs for tourist route, which takes you back into the Royal National Park, you cannot really go wrong plenty of vantage spots on the way down to the Gong, can get crowded at weekend. Enjoy it’s whale time. Stop at Bald Hill Stanwell Park for great ocean and coastal views.

Parking in the Illawarra is free (with the exeption of the CBD of Wollongong). Parking for the Sea Cliff Bridge is limited, park at Coalcliff beach and walk up on the bridge. We hope you …
