Amazing views, distressing to see dead seal pups, starved by the looks. Also several tourists getting way to close to get their picture taken with a seal. The seals here are not safe from people. Andrea S的完整评论

The place I started on the walkway was at the Port Kean viewpoint (there's a car park near there to drive up to so you can start the walk). I heard the other end of the walkway starts in town somewhere - but I didn't complete the entire walk, so I'm not sure.
Good day, I will be driving from Blenheim to Christchurch and was wanting to stop in Kaikoura for a day or for a walk. Perhaps the Peninsula Walkway. Question please: 1. Your days are set and you can't control the weather, so just relax and enjoy. We started our peninsula walk from in town...we grabbed a coffee and a snack then just headed off on a nice walk.

You've probably already been and found out for yourself that most of the track (apart from a side track descending to the beach at Whaler's Cove) is fine with a pram, so I'm answering for other people who might read this. From South Bay there is a section that is fully wheelchair accessible, but I don't remember there being steps coming up the other side, from Point Kean. If there were they were long low rise ones on a paved surface that you'd manage easily.
