The school groups are usually lining up to leave around 2 so I would go after that on a weekday or as soon as they open on a weekday. Avoid Saturdays. During the summer, camps usually go there on weekdays- use the same rules as school days. If you a local, you can tell by the number of school buses in the parking lot how many groups are there.
I see there are different ticket price options. Is it really worth the money to pay more for the higher priced tickets? What free toy do you get with the 2nd ticket option?

im a little worried about making the trek here after reading some of these reviews! hope i can leave a good one- anyone with experience using a groupon for one day admission? im driving a few hrs with 2 young kids and the email response I got was the groupon is subject to availability and you will be admitted the next time open . i plan on getting there at 10 since i have a 2 to 3 hr drive home...any one with experience? i wont be happy with being told i cant get in or to wait a long time!!! planning on a sunday or MLK day...

Sunday usually isn't. That busy. Went with out buying tickets and got right in. But a holiday weekend may be a whole different thing. Might be better another weekend

Adults must be accompanied by children to enter LEGOLAND Discovery Center. We will host exclusive adult nights throughout the year for Adult Fans of LEGO without children!
