Hi Amanda, It costs £10 for entrance which is for the house and the gardens. There are several volunteers in the house who tell you about the rooms and the history of the place as you explore at your own pace. When I arrived there was a small group gathered at the entrance listening to a short history of the area which I think is repeated as needed, again, no timed tour as such. Similarly, in the gardens there is a group by the greenhouse who will hand you a sheet about the secret garden but are more than willing to talk to you about the place. Plan a visit, it has such a welcoming atmosphere. I plan to visit again.
