USDA’s Semi-Annual Cattle Inventory report confirmed a 61-year low in the beef cow herd, and barring some major change in the weather, the cattle inventory may not be done shrinking yet.

It was these steps and the herd book, which helped the breed to become the second most popular dairy cattle in the world, with the Jersey cow today being found in most countries around the world.

Kent Wildlife Trust has more than 800 cattle, sheep, ponies, pigs, and a herd of bison across many of the 90 nature reserves under their management as part of its Wilder Grazing Strategy.
