US 441/Newfound Gap Road closed in Great Smoky Mountains National Park for snow potential
Ahead of the weekend's forecast winter weather, U.S. 441/Newfound Gap Road between Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Cherokee, North Carolina, is closed in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The road closed at 8 a.m. Friday. There has been no announcement from the National Park Service when Newfound Gap Road could open again.
