A never-freezing river despite winter temperatures of down to -50 degrees Celsius, the Jarganat River in Renchinlkhumbe Soum of Khuvsgul aimag is a natural wonder called “living water” by locals.
It has been, say scientists, "a mammoth journey". The satellite-tagged common cuckoo (Cuculus canorus), named Onon after a Mongolian river, set off from its winter home in Zambia on 20 March.
