According to the Cessna service newsletter linked above the balance for the C-120/140 rudder and elevator is "none specified", which should be obvious by looking at it (nothing forward of the hinge line, no place for a balance weight).

As stated above, in level cruise in a small GA aircraft, you should not require rudder input for straight and level flight. I spent 18 hours (Round trip 9hrs each way) in a 172 that needed constant left rudder in straight/level flight.

2005年3月31日 · There are plenty of multi-engine aircraft without yaw dampers but still have rudder trim, just like some single engine aircraft have them and others don’t. Generally the higher end, high performance singles will have a y/d, but it may or may not be an aftermarket installation.

2010年12月28日 · Bottom rudder would be a skid, which is spin likely. In fact, pulling back on the stick, turning and pushing on bottom rudder, well, THAT is a spin entry. So from a spin point of view, BOTTOM rudder is the one to worry about. Top rudder is uncoordinated but fairly spin resistant. Slips on final to landing are pretty spin resistant.

The trim tab applies a touch of R rudder, so a more curved trim tab will apply a bit more R rudder and be neutral at a slower cruise airspeed than a less curved one. So you can bend the rudder trim tab to fine-tune to your preferred cruise speed.

You do that. Then use the rudder to center the ball. Trim the rudder such that you don't need to hold the rudder. You've now completed all the rudder trim you need to do.
