2023年6月10日 · I've been thinking about getting an M1 Carbine replica. I have read discussions of the pros and cons of M1 carbines made by Auto Ordnance, Inland, and Fulton Armory. Seems like the Fulton Armory carbines are the preferred model in a repro gun, but they are quite expensive and usually take a while to get as I think they are built to order.

Arlington Ordnance had a warehouse and rebuild facility in Martinsburg WV that shipped us M1 Garands and M1 Carbines by the pallet loads. The company I worked for sold Arlington Ordnance the US GI M1 Garand rebarreling machine they used to rebarrel the M1 Garands. Arlington Ordnance used new barrels in both 30-06 and .308 in the rebuild program.

Rule of thumb: If it slides grease it if it rotates, oil it. I have been told the M1 Carbine was originally designed to mainly be oiled, hence the oiler. The Garands came with a grease pot... In my opinion any of the ones marked excellent/higher drop point are o.k.

The M1/M14 sights are about the easiest sights to zero on any rifle out there. Just take your rifle to a 100 yard range, put on 8 clicks, zero the windage mark and see what happens. Bet you'll be on paper, a couple miner adjustments will put you in the X Ring at 300.
