2023年6月19日 · Maybe it was the weight of the skiff that permitted that. And maybe it was a traditionally built Peapod that I read could do take 200 lbs. on the gunnel. I'm hoping that a 120-150 lb. Peapod of plywood and epoxy would allow me to horse around in workboat fashion along the Southern California Coast. I have room for 15' in the shop.

At 65 square feet, I think it was a touch small for my 15 foot peapod. There have been 20+ knot days when I sat on the rail without a reef. This indicates my boat is under-canvased.

Sounds to me that to have the stability and robustness you want you're gonna end up in that neighborhood. A strip composite boat on the White peapod model could be built to that weight if you pick stock carefully.

For us the problem was not getting a good amount of items that we were charged for - like $40-50 worth on 2 successive orders. Normally I'd just call and get a refund/redelivery, but customer service wait times are an hour or longer so.. not happening.

Sternsheets provide far more room for passengers and stuff than the cramped bow seat. I imagine you're aware already, but conditions on the central Bay get real serious real fast.
