2012年6月21日 · Grousefly and Nightprowler also sell jigs here on the board. In ball heads I'll go with 1/32nd with a #4 and a 1/16th with a #2 sickle or regular aberdeen Mustad or Eagle Claw hook. Same with a Minnow head in the same sizes and also pony and horsehead jigs. don't be afraid to go up to a 1/8th if you have to.

2007年8月29日 · I have a few 1/16th oz. #2 hook powder painted and maybe 40 1/8th oz. #1 hook plain lead. I also have 1/32nd #6 hook, all with collars. I can't tie on them and I don't use/lose many of them because I tie my own jigs and rarely use plastics.

2022年7月28日 · Oh, I cleaned them out of 1.5g #10, but was able to get 10 pack boxes (40 jigs) on my favorite sizes. What I have been told by the Japanese folks who HAVE replied to me is, Daiwa is still making the jigs in glow and red glow color, albeit at a reduced production schedule, but has discontinued the black color production completely.

The flat spot is there on both bronze and red hooks. In the close-up photo of his successful woven jig (congrats!), skiptomylu shows a sickle hook that has no flat spot.

2009年2月13日 · A lot of guys use egg sinkers 18" up from their jigs and spider rig. This allows a super slow presentation. If strictly long lining, head from the deep to the shallows and notice at what depth your baits start contacting the bottom. This is how deep that particular line/weight jig is running at that speed.

Sure not paying big bucks for jig heads with holes when I limit plus about any day using plain unpainted jig heads with a Walmart sack tied on with red thread. Fishing or should I say catching is more about lure presentation. Caught over 50 yesterday and these last till hook breaks off most of the time .

2022年8月8日 · My understanding is this; in the UV spectrum red is the first color to get washed out to something like gray. So it isn’t completely useless as some might think. I’ve tied jigs for bluegill that worked OK but became a hot ticket when I added a short piece of red wool on the tail of the tie. But you know me and I always have a story to give.
