Jan 4, 2010. #1. Ray, all of the 60's came factory equipped with a three spoke steering wheel, whether or not the tractor had power steering. It was on the 70's where there was a difference. The four spoke wheel was often installed on manual steering tractors for precisely the reason mentioned- they made the tractor steer easier.

Coolant: any automotive coolant/antifreeze works. Power Steering (if equipped): JD 2cylinder PS fluid ONLY. PTO clutch: 10W works. lightweight hydro-trans works.

But, in single viscosity, 20-20 in winter, 30W in summer, depending on where you live. 10W-30 would work year around, again depending on where you live. Would also depend on what you are doing with the tractor.

The sealing surface on both tanks have some erosion of material which reduces the nice flat surface area down to about a quarter of an inch in width in some spots.
