Half connection scenario in 2-way handshake: 1) Client ---SYN--> Server 2) Client changes his mind and doesn't want to connect anymore 3) Client <-X-ACK-- Server //ACK was lost Server doesn't see resent SYN, so he thinks that client got his ACK and connection is established.
