2022年5月30日 · My current 25 degree 5 hybrid takes the place of my 4 iron. It goes further than my 5 iron by a good 15 yards. It is my 185-190 yard club. My current 5 wood is adjustable and is currently set at 17.5 degrees. It is really more like a 4 wood. It is easier to hit than a 3 wood and generally goes the same distance for me which is about 225 yards.

2023年10月1日 · I tried a 6 hybrid a couple of times to replace my 5 iron and they just launched super high for me and would balloon in the wind. At the top of my bag right now I’m playing a 26 degree 5 iron. My Cobra LTDx 24 degree 5 hybrid replaced my 4 iron. The Tour Edge E723 21 degree 7 wood is in the 3 iron spot.

I used to play a 28 degree 6 hybrid in place of my 5 iron, but found it to cause the ball to fly so high that it was not as versatile as the five iron.

2021年10月14日 · Depends on what you consider a 5 hybrid but I do carry one that is 25*. For me that is a low 180s club which is a common number on par 3s that I play and also is a number I often want to hit to on par 5s as a layup. I like it better because it gets up quickly and is playable from the rough. Mine is actually at 38.5" so the same length as my 6 iron.

My 21 degree 7 wood carries 5 yards further than my 21 degree 4 iron, but flies considerably higher. My 17.5 degree 5 wood carries just under 20 yards further than the 7 wood.

2013年1月21日 · Now I am back with "normal" irons (RocketBladez), I am finding myself hitting the same distance as the 5 hybrid (around 170-180 in current weather) but the ball flight is much more "piercing" with the 5 iron, plenty of hight but comes down much quicker. Makes it easier playing into grees from longer distances.
