2019年5月18日 · I noticed in laptops like Dell XPS you have i7 models with 8MB Smartcache and i5 models with 6MB Smartcache? When would you see a difference from this, especially if you have an SSD? How relevant is this Smartcache and a difference of 2MB?

2006年2月4日 · It is doubtful the extra cache will be noticable, especially on a machine that old. If there is an 8mb version and a 16mb version of the same drive with a small difference in price, you could go with the 16mb. Performance differences are much larger between drive families than between different cached models.
