2015年8月18日 · Building the tank was pretty easy, actually. Just make sure you have them cut to the correct size (IE, account for glass thickness) and then assemble with silicon sealant. There are some great guides online that will tell you what you need to know about how thick the glass has to be and how to cross-brace if necessary.

2020年3月9日 · Probably not. They're most likely made of tempered glass which you cannot cut without it shattering. Not a tank for water. The glass isn't thick enough. They work great for reptile tanks. And unfortunately they are made of tempered glass so you can't cut the glass smaller. It shatters like a car window.

2024年1月20日 · My dad used to make all of his glass tanks. They were tall 40 gallons. He used to own a laboratory focused on water quality. I don’t see a reason why you couldn’t. I think the biggest factor is going to be your cost on glass. I’m thinking of creating my own tank from glass.

There’s a whole museum wing of aquatic creatures to fill. I fished out a hugeee Shark recently and was absolutely delighted. Yaho!

2019年1月31日 · Wood will swell and move. I don't think a wood frame for an aquarium is a good idea. Water will seep into the thinnest hole and rot it. Also there is the issue of water pressure. Wood will eventually break (higher walls mean higher pressure). And wood in contact with the water will contaminate it.
