Is there any significance to the color on the armors of ODSTs
2022年2月15日 · Halo 3 seems to suggest that ODSTs with red markings are squad leaders of some sort while white markings are that of a standard ODST. However, all of that is somewhat predicated on assumptions. I know in Halo 3 the ODST's with red on the shoulders was usually supposed to act as the squad leader like the sergeant.

2021年12月11日 · Odst armor was like an armored space suit, mjolnir however is more like a powered exoskeleton with tank plating much more powerful. Only Spartans can wear mjolnir because it would kill anyone else. Buck was an odst so wore that armor until he became a spartan. His armor does have some odst traits but is still very much mjolnir gen 2.

This is a really interesting progression actually, Buck's Halo 5 armour looks really great IMO. It's got that familiar ODST bulkiness, but also has the Mjolnir elements present, solid design work if you ask me. The design change from Halo 2 to ODST was also interesting. I always found it a little odd that Bungie bulked them up so much.

The ODST armor on the Mark Vb is built to Mjolnir standards, which basically means it's a titanium-A plated armor slapped onto the Mjolnir's undersuit in the shape of ODST armor. All Mark Vb armor attachments are considered up armor, meaning it goes on top of the existing armor. The helmet itself is an ODST helmet made to Mark Vb standards.
