2011年4月23日 · It is good and solid, I can sit in the kayak on the trailer. It should prevent any deformities to the hull. Was going to use 2 inch PVC like another member posted, but then I would have needed a riser to make it high enough to the hull didn't hit the trailer. Then a buddy suggested using the tubes for storage and going to 4 inch.

2025年1月12日 · On my Hobie Trailex trailer where I upgraded the tires and wheels to 12" from the 8", I inflate the tires to 12 psi and the ride is good....no excessive bouncing or tire over heating or tire wear. I am carrying a PA-14 with all of my gear.....trailer with spare tire, front winch, etc, etc is about 325 pounds gross weight.

2012年10月2日 · Just lift the bow onto the rear of the bunks, pickup the stern of the kayak and slide it on. 2. Yakima kayak saddles. Big Catch is the model, I think. Expensive and I don't think I can slide the boat onto them because of the taper from the bow. 3. Bottom up on the trailer crossbars. Seems very difficult to load/unload by myself.

2017年6月7日 · Looks like Hobie's trailer "38652001 TRAILER HOBIE ALUM KAYAK TI" will have the TI hanging almost 4' from the rear cradle. I'd like to transport my TI fully rigged with a live well and other safety gear stashed in the rear. I'm worried Hobie's trailer won't have enough support with the added weight and was thinking about ordering SUT-350-S instead.

2016年8月27日 · I've got an old boat trailer with 12" wheels I want to convert to a kayak trailer. I plan to use the 3" PVC route to support the kayak. I don't have the kayak yet, but will be purchasing soon and want to do the trailer mods now. Can someone tell me the ideal length of the PVC pipe supports? Seems like they come in 10' lengths. Hopefully 10 ...

I have read several threads on trailers for my Pro Angler and decided that would start with a single jet ski / PWC trailer and add the plastic pipe for bunks.

2021年2月12日 · I getting ready to build a trailer kit I purchased made by AO Smith. I’m planning on using it for my new Hobie PA 12 360 which is expected in at the end of the month. The trailer comes with 2 5’ long x 4” wide carpet covered bunks. I was thinking of adding 2 - 3” diameter pvc pipe to the center of the boards.
