2020年3月9日 · Being that Lanolin (liquid) is so hard to find without having to order it on line, the Hornady "UNIQUE" is available most anywhere in most gun stores with reloading supplies. (and its alot cheaper than lanolin) One other lube recipe i`ve been playing around with, is Castor oil and 99% alcohol. I`ve noticed the Castor oil stays mixed very well.

Posted July 8, 2015. I use the lanolin that looks like paste wax. I put several ounces in a pan over boiling water to melt it and then mix it with a bottle of 99% isopropyl alcohol from CVS. After mixing if completely dissolved I add more lanolin until the mixture is saturated where the lanolin is coming out of solution and settling to the bottom.

An alternative is to leave the lube on until the case is loaded, then dump batches of a two or three hundred rounds into an old terrycloth towel sprayed with rubbing alcohol. Gets most to nearly all off. If you need to salvage the towel run it through the wash separately to get the lanolin out.

2016年12月18日 · If you use a commercial case lube (or other store bought lubricant), please post that as well. I use a mix of Lanolin and alcohol in a quart sized spray bottle (I forget the exact mix ratio). Never had any issues with dead primers or squibs. Spray a couple spritzes in gallon sized ziploc baggy, dump brass in, zip shut and shake.

2016年12月11日 · I started using the infamous bootleg case lube, one 12oz bottle of Heet (red bottle is 99% isopropol alcohol) and one oz of liquid lanolin in a spray bottle. Spray 2-3 shots into a large bag, dump a lot of brass in, roll brass around in bag, dump out into cardboard box lid to dry a few min, dump into case feeder, load and shoot.

2024年9月24日 · Well, I was tired of the "gun brand" case lubes. And I am also not the type to mess around mixing lanolin and alcohol. So we had some spray on Pam coconut oil. I thought I would give it a try. It works just as well as the "gun brand" spray on lubes and it saves some bucks. 223 range pickups just glide through the small base resize die.

Posted May 25, 2015. Beyond making the handle easier to pull, lubing your 9mm cases will make your "progressive" press run "smoother". A smoother running progressive press will generally yield more "consistent" ammo. I lube my pistol brass for more consistent ammo. You definitely don't have to lube your 9mm cases if you're running carbide dies.
