From what I've played, only FF2 really is the only one up there with the survival horror classics from back in the day. It has a few issues as well, but the atmosphere of its village and plot setup really made up for that one.

I also learned of Suda51 by playing Killer 7 and very few games managed to make such an impression on me. I tried to play FSR, but didn't played it for too long.
