Musqueam First Nation - Wikipedia
The Musqueam Nation (Hunquminum: šxʷməθkʷəy̓əmaɁɬ təməxʷ) is a First Nation whose traditional territory encompasses the western half of what is now Greater Vancouver, in British Columbia, Canada. It is governed by a band council and is known officially as the Musqueam Indian Band under the Indian Act.

xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) We are traditional hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓-speaking people. Today, we are a strong, growing community of over 1,300 members. Many of our members live on a small portion of our traditional territory, known as the Musqueam Indian Reserve, located south of Marine Drive near the mouth of the Fraser River.

Musqueam’s ancestors have lived throughout and stewarded the Fraser River estuary for thousands of years. Today, portions of Musqueam’s territory are called Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, New Westminster, Delta, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Surrey, UBC Endowment Lands, YVR Airport and Coquitlam.

About half of our community members live on a very small portion of our traditional territory in our village of xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), located south of Northwest Marine Drive near the mouth of the North Arm of the Fraser River.
We are the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓-speaking Musqueam people, part of the broader cultural group known as the Central Coast Salish. We have lived here in our territory for over 9,000 years.

2005年4月4日 · Musqueam traditional territory and waters span the Greater Vancouver area. There are approximately 1,435 Musqueam members. Musqueam has overlapping and/or shared territory with its First Nation neighbours: Kwikwetlem, Squamish, Tsawwassen and Tsleil-Waututh.
