Oct 12, 2005 · Last week I had the pleasure of cruising and diving with the crew and passengers aboard the Nekton Rorqual. The itinerary was the Cay Sal Banks, Bahamas. This was my first liveaboard so I was not quite sure what to expect but I can assure you that this will not be my last.

Called the "Galapagos of the Caribbean" by some, three small islands off Puerto Rico's coast are now being visited by the Nekton Rorqual. My last trip to the real Galapagos Islands was packed with adrenaline, so to find sharks and turtles along with indigenous land species at the islands of Mona, Desecheo, and Monita sounded too good to be true.

2 NEW ARTIFICIAL REEFS COMING TO DESTIN-FWB: The Okaloosa Coastal Resource Team was approached in early April 2024 with the donation of two former scuba dive liveaboards, measuring 80ft and 75ft. The vessels, known as NEKTON PILOT and NEKTON RORQUAL, were built in 1992 and 2001 respectively.
