If I wanted to use 240 charging then I could, as Mardak suggested, purchase the Nema 14-50 adapter and utilize it instead of the 5-15 adapter. Basically plug and play with the outlet I already own.

The NEMA 5-15 (standard 120v) plug that's still included is more likely to be useful; however, the charge rate from that will be quite slow -- you'd probably only get 50-60 miles of range off of one of those during an overnight stop, for instance. The adapter had a hole on one side where it was melting. I called Tesla and they sent out someone with a new mobile charger and nema 14-50 adapter.

2021年12月28日 · Caveat is that I used a TT-30-NEMA 14-50 adapter and then this extension cord so I had to dial back the amps when I charged*. I had no problems with the extension cord or charging. If you are concerned, you can always dial back the amps when you use the cord to keep from stressing anything.
