Petrified Oak Slabs were in the game before but they were known as alpha slabs. Alpha slabs are just normal wood oak slabs that were created before the 1.3 update and there is nothing alpha about them they were just nicknamed that way. They basically behave like stone slabs and will not drop if you use anything other then a pickaxe .

2022年7月26日 · The issue with the petrified slab was that they set the properties the same as the stone slab rather than making new properties for the wooden slab. When they added new fixed slabs, they didn't remove the old stone ones so it's left there now, unobtainable unless you played the world from pre-1.3 and update to new versions.
