Orcanorway offers 3-day and 6-day orca expeditions in the breathtaking High Arctic of Norway, from late October to mid-January. As the first company to offer swimming with orca expeditions, we proudly call our trips the " Original Orca Expeditions ."

Once we spot a family of orcas, we gently approach, and your underwater adventure begins. When the boat driver gives the command "GO!", you'll dive into the water and experience the thrill of being up close with these magnificent creatures.

His lifelong passion for orcas and marine life led to the founding of the first orca diving expeditions in Norway in 1992. As the CEO of Orcanorway, Olav has been a pioneer in offering unique and unforgettable encounters with orcas.
2024 season - ORCA NORWAY
In 2024, our company operates three liveaboard boats: MS Sula, MS Bergsund, and MS Sjöveien. While MS Sula and MS Bergsund offer similar standards and pricing, MS Sjöveien distinguishes itself with higher luxury and cost. Despite these differences, all boats follow the same daily program and collaborate during orca searches.

The Original Orca Expedition Since 1992. Our journey began with a dream. As a child, our captain and founder, Olav Magne Strømsholm, was inspired by the iconic TV show "Flipper". This dream evolved into an extraordinary adventure spanning over three decades of orca expedition trips.

MS Bergsund | Orca Norway
Initially built in the 1950s and formerly a public ferry in northern Norway, MS Bergsund was renovation around 2017, transitioning into a passenger ship. Cabins are equipped with bunk beds, sinks, and porthole windows.
