2008年3月21日 · In reading through the speaker forum, I’ve been a bit surprised that many knowledgeable members seem to hold Radio Shack/Realistic speakers in high regard. Optimus, Mach One, etc… I vividly remember these models from the 80s, but never gave them much thought because RS had/has a reputation for rather low-end merchandise.

What are the good Realistic Optimus speakers to look out for?
2013年8月6日 · In my opinion, the Op-7s are the most detailed and accurate set of the bunch. Large cab, a little over 3 square feet, with a 12" woofer, 6" mid and 1 1/2" dome tweeter. Level controls for the mid and tweets. Unfortunately they were only made from 1973 to 1974 and are kind of rare. They sold for $198.50 each, a pretty pricey speaker back then.

Great condition, working speakers from Realisitic that were designed for Radio Shack by Utah. Utah put out some great speakers back in the 60's and 70's. Primarily the Alnico design.

This a superb pair of Electrostat 2A sold by Radio Shack in the mid-70s under the name Realistic. They are NOT boom boxes but offer a very fine clear, pure musical sound. Measuring 22.25" tall, 12.5" wide, and 11.5" deep these speakers are the size of a medium pair of bookshelf speakers.

2016年10月16日 · You said not speakers but probably the best Realistic hi-fi product was the Minimus 7 mini-speakers. The original SPL meter was a gem, too - Henry Kloss used them in his development lab. mrz80, crooner, KT88 and 4 others like this. TimB Pop, Rock and Blues for me!
