2010年3月30日 · The way I look at it ,On the east coast cars can rust within five yrs when new, so anything over that is great. You got to remember with heavy pitted rust there isn't much metal left.the best thing is to replace it.(but that gets expensive) or clean up the rust (like my trim holes) and glue some metal to the back side for strength.

2010年2月24日 · Response: Yes, the Ospho will be totally neutralized by reaction with both the rust particles and the steel underneath. A quick water rinse after it has dried (remember, Ospho is water-based) will remove any trace of reaction particles (dust-like) and make sure the surface is in perfect condition for priming. Sealer by definition is non porous material to prevent passage of a liquid or gas. 2009年8月18日 · Old school was NEVER put filler over any kind of paint!!! However having said that there is a type that you can and those are Epoxy primers which act as a rust inhibitor, a seal between your fillers/topcoats and the metal, which not if but when you get a scratch/chip in your paint even though the filler may be exposed to the moisture it does not reach the metal and rust.

I can get it dipped locally through the same process for $900, or $900 at Redi-Strip in Indy using the less harsh Alkaline base solution to strip paint and rust, but no one else around the great lakes/midwest e-coats ...

The biggest cam I would use would be a compcam 260H. 260/260 advertised 212/212 at 0.050". this cam will work with the stock valve train. A 252H would be good also. a compcam deh255 would be another good choice. and would work with the stock springs. Like.

2010年12月5日 · If you do it again after getting the block back, be sure to wash it back out thoroughly and use a rust inhibitor on the block. Stick to using radiator/cooling system flushing and cleaning products made for the purpose as opposed to using household chemicals that may do either nothing or be more harm than good.
