The Gen 2 is Multi-caliber (9mm, .357 SIG, .40 S&W) capable, with caliber exchange kit (purchased separately). 2020年7月14日 · Magazines: Gen 1 has smaller feed lips and black follower, Gen 2 has FDE follower. The reason some folks have problems running Gen 1 mags in their Gen 2 MPX is because of differences in the feed ramps. The shorter feed lips of the Gen 1 mags cause the round to feed at a slightly steeper angle.

2018年2月4日 · The MPX in general even just in Gen 2 units has a lot of intermittently reported issues. I suspect that Sig is letting the tolerances drift too far as a cost savings measure, so once you get tolerance stacking into the mix Gen 2's are not behaving the same.

When I spoke with the technical department of Sig prior to sending my 8” for repair, he said that Sig made rolling changes (as evidenced by different screws, bolts etc) to the MPX to alleviate complaints from consumers.

2019年8月10日 · -Both the Gen 2 and Gen 3 barrels seem to have the same accuracy - with 147s and fast powder you can get 1" groups - if you run faster bullets like 124s you can get everything touching at 20 yds. -A lot of things can be retrofit from a Gen 3 to a Gen 2. I sent my Gen 2 to SIG and they sent it back with the updated bolt carrier group.

Problem solved. Sheesh!

2021年6月26日 · Based on these photos, my MPX PCC is a combination of gen 2 and 3 parts. The upper receiver is a gen 2, while my BCG is a gen 3. Then looking at my MPX 8 inch that I recently bought, it does not come with MPX trigger, yet has the gen 3 upper receiver with MLOK HG, and gen 2 BCG. Wondering about reputation now that it seems they just mix up parts.

MPX is not my go-to rifle because I haven't taken the time to replace the flash hider with a 3-lug mount for suppressor use. Only about 800-1000 rounds thru the MPX and most have either been under powered frangible or +P+ rounds.
