Since before they diagnosed me, I was having other symptoms that I thought were not related including loss of appetite/weight loss, bladder control, bowel control, problem with eyesight at times, tremors, sleep issues among some other things.

Without the biopsy you can’t be treated and the small fiber neuropathy can’t be confirmed. One of the treatments isIVIG therapy but you have to have the biopsy to get the treatment. The longer it goes the more it progresses. I have lost feeling in my legs, hands, and organs including my heart.

Does Small Fiber Neuropathy also cause muscle spasms?
2018年11月2日 · She said that my Small Fiber Neuropathy is the cause of my tingling, burning and stabbing pain, but it doesn’t explain the spasms. Thus, the reason for my original question. My understanding of neuropathy is that for some people, there is no underlining cause, and for others, there is an underlining cause that has created it, such as diabetes.

2021年2月28日 · I feel for you! I’ve been struggling w small fiber neuropathy w autonomic dysfunction for many years but last 2 have been the worst. (So far no etiology; not diabetic ; genetic or autoimmune) possibly genetic but no gene mutations were found yet. I get tightness in my stomach and abdomen and chest.

2022年7月1日 · Last month I had a small fiber neuropathy biopsies of my left leg. Three skin biopsies were taken. One above the outside of my ankle, another near outside of my knee and another at upper outer thigh area. The ankle and knee area biopsy came back negative but the upper outer thigh area nearer my hip came back positive.
