Anyone have experience with the SoClean Machine?
2018年4月1日 · The last 2 times Lilbit has been hospitalized we have used our own BiPAP machine in the hospital because Lilbit prefers her own mask. We also brought the SoClean machine to the hospital and the Drs, nurses, and respiratory therapist were all curious how it worked. One therapist asked if we thought it actually cleaned everything.

Hi @pjas972j, I also used a SoClean 2 after about a month of washing the mask daily and the tubing once a week got the best of me. I only used warm soapy water and used a small amount of the regular dish soap. The SoClean made it so much easier I never looked back after starting with it.

2018年4月1日 · I also have 2 Philips CPAPs on the recall - a Dreamstation and a Dreamstation Go portable CPAP. When the recall was announced I purchased a ResMed AirMini because I like the smaller size and can travel with it if necessary. I also use a SoClean 3 that I purchased at the end of last year to replace a SoClean 2.

2018年4月1日 · Nonetheless, I decided to get the SoClean 2 about four months ago. I now wash my nasal pillows about once every 7-10 days, which is far more convenient. I do this because SoClean is a sanitizer but won't remove facial oils. The machine works fine. I have it set to run for 10 minutes at 10 am every day.

2018年4月1日 · I had a SoClean 2 and now a SoClean 3. As someone pointed out, the machine only cleans bacteria and viruses not dirt and oils. I soap and water wash my equipment about once monthly. I should probably do it more. I know that ozone decontamination is effective. I’m going to trust from studies that this machine does what it is intended to do.

2018年4月1日 · I also have a SoClean 2 machine and really like it. It does make it easy to put the mask in and hook up the hose adapter directly to the CPAP machine. I think you can get adapters for it from SoClean if you have any problems. How is the SoClean 2 working for you?

The SoClean runs the Ozone generator for 2 minutes and then you have to leave it closed for 2 hours. I've found that it reduces the smell if I am able to open it up soon after the cleaning or sanitizing because it really doesn't clean - it just kills the bacteria, etc..
