2016年8月30日 · Shortly after that, I spotted a Miller Thunderbolt XL 225/150, almost brand new, the newest model, for $300. I offered him $270, he accepted, I brought it home and sold the Craftsman for $250. Which leads into the exhaust pipe welding. I have dual exhausts and the tailpipes were corroded at the muffler outlet.

2014年3月17日 · stick welding downhill. I rarely ever weld down hill, maybe outside corner on thin metal where strength is not required. Down hill is generally not a strong or integral weld. I would not recommend it. Learn to weld vert up. And I never use 6013 rod, also not a structural rod. Kinda a look nice not very strong rod.

2014年1月2日 · hi new here trying to setup a bobcat 250 so i can weld aluminum. You can buy a A/C HF adaptor unit and use your bobcat.No bigs. Well, why tig, run a spoolgun off your CV setting on your machine, so a WC-115 with contactor, Miller 30A, a bottle of Argon and off you go. Crazy simple and about 100 times faster than tig.

2007年8月13日 · Almost all "pontoon" boats made for recreational use in the US are made out of 6061T-6 Aluminum in .063" (approximately 15 gauge). The two exceptions to this are Bentley Pontoons, which are made with .080 extruded, and the Trimarans (3-tube) made by Bennington, which are a full 1/4" (.125) thick H-34 aluminum.

Stick Welding C purlin and 14 gauge tubing
09-09-2012, 09:56 AM. 14 gauge burn through. I have done gate repairs and built new ones, mostly 14-gauge material... same issue - long 3/32 6011 rods were too flimsy and burn through. What I have learned is if the metal is clean, I use 6013 (3/32 & 1/8), but not always the case. On repairs, 6011 and 6010 (3/32) will weld over paint and rust.
