Feb 2, 2011 · Zuni and Navajo turquoise cluster pins. Very similar, but do show slight differences. The Zuni pride themselves on stone work and they do not like to show lots of matrix, the Navajo piece shows lots of matrix. Also, remember the silver, the Zuni piece (on the left) has that nice open design, the Navajo piece has the heavier silver look.

Identifying my Squash Blossom necklace - Turquoise People
Apr 11, 2022 · The turquoise is natural (not stabilized), which you can tell because it shows some color change. The silver beads look to be fully hand made, which is a feature of earlier Zuni squashes. It does have a lot of blossoms per side, which means more turquoise as well as the work that goes into making each blossom, so that is a nice feature.
Value and authenticity of this squash blossom necklace
Aug 24, 2024 · We’ve had discussions about what constitutes a squash blossom necklace previously on this forum. I’ve seen lots of pieces called squash blossom simply because they have tabs (of some sort) between silver beads and a naja pendant. I guess I’d call this style a squash blossom style with turquoise tabs, but that’s just me.
