In fall of 2005, this logo first made its debut on YTV promos, in primetime, and later on YTV's website in spring 2006. In 2007, this logo was adopted full-time by the channel, replacing the monsters which had still been used in daytime until then.
Launched on September 1, 1988 (sharing with Family Channel, VisionTV, and The Weather Network), YTV was the successor to two prior special programming services operated by various Ontario cable companies beginning in the late 1970s. However they didn't use a logo until 1989.
