2005年8月16日 · if the tors is a problem it wont rev up the tors is a saftey feature that will cause the rev limiter to kick in it will idle and when you give it gas will make a loud knocking noise. i rebuilt a friends blaster and his parking brake on a 03 blaster was out of adjustment and caused the tors to kick in, so you will definatly know if it was the tors because it wont go above 5mph

2001年12月11日 · It will look like the part of the cable coming out of your TORS and it needs to be able to connect with the jetting needle. I just got a new throttle kit that by-passed the TORS (it had the twist throttle and cables) for about $25(thumb throttles were about $50). Then you have te get an idle kit, because your TORS has an idle and your carb doesn't.

2003年8月13日 · TORS - Throttle Over-Ride System. If one slide is not in the same position as the TORS will cut the ignition not allowing the engine to rev. It's a safety measure against stuck throttles. The TORS can mess up and cause the engine not to rev or cause a stumble when you hit the gas. The TORS also have the idle adjustment/sync screws on them.

Eliminating the tors will not let the quad rev any higher, it is just a set of switches that will kill the spark if both contacts arn't made. hollywood sells a set up that has every thing you need to remove the tors

2004年9月18日 · I tested my Tors system by unplugging it where it connects to the thumb throttle assembly. When the throttle is at rest I get 0 as a reading meaning the electricity isnt going threw. But if I push the lever I start getting a reading. Now I remember ready about guys welding those 2 wires together after installing a 400rx thumb throttle assembly.

2002年2月17日 · The TORS Removal kit is not "necesary" to disconnect the TORS System, that kit is to "physically" remove it off the quad, you can disconnect it without buying anything, there is a Black Box under the hood (on Blaster) with a plug (white I believe, not the CDI!), all you do is unplug that, and the TORS is disconnected.

2003年10月7日 · the TORS switches can be messed up by improper traction on the throttle cable, and this could cause it to run rough or not at all. The switch would have to be reset. this instruction will save a FEW people a lot of grief.

2011年8月30日 · The parking brake switch was removed a long time ago, and I dissconnected the TORS wires coming from the handle, the ones that connect to the TORS brain and the ones coming out of the carb. So I think that the whole system should be gone now but for some reason it will idle fine for 30 seconds and then it wants to idle really really high.

2010年3月31日 · So I needed to change the throttle cable to my 98 Blaster, and the new twist throttle comes with a cap and wants you to bypass the TORS unit. (The adjuster at the end of the cable is too small to fit in the TORS unit so I have to go straight into the carburetor.)
