Quality of Fish at PetSmart and PetCo?
2014年3月8日 · My Petsmart is hit and miss and it depends wholeheartedly on the type of fish you're buying from them. Case in Point: I have 10 Columbian Tetra 's all bought from Petsmart. They are some of the healthiest fish I've ever seen and a couple of them are pushing three inches, far beyond the 2 to 2 1/2" max.

2019年5月4日 · No issues with PetsMart or PetCo fish. As stated previously, tank conditions and fish appearance will tell you a lot. I have had more issues with a local chain than big box. Do your research before you go in as well. Many big box stores will put any average Joe who can drop a "vacation feeder" into a tank and use a gravel vac in their aquatic Dept.

2021年9月11日 · Former Petco aquatic specialist here! Petsmart/petco source their fish from AWFUL quality breeders. I would scoop a whole container of dead fish at both opening and closing. I actually had to leave because I couldn’t handle that much death. However, I did get all of my fish from those two stores and they’re all doing well.

2018年11月26日 · Yeah, Petsmart isn't "mom & pop", but they keep people in your community employed, they pay taxes like everyone else (a lot more actually because their buildings are so big) and your "LFS" is probably getting their fish from the exact same place Petsmart is too.
