2009年2月12日 · Would consider your sheller to be pretty rare. It seperates the corn from cob differently than any other 1-hole sheller I've seen. There is a chain underneath similar in appearance to the cob carrier chain on a lot of 2-holers like JD, Sandwich, etc. The shelled corn falls thru the chain and the cob is discharged back out front.

One leg had to be completely replaced and extensions put on the others since they had been cut off at the bottom. The top wood pieces also had to be replaced.

Wsharri3, I have a few pictures of shellers with the same end-plate (where the corn comes out), but none have a flywheel like yours. It's possible your flywheel was replaced at some point, but perhaps not. The closest I can find (other than the flywheel) is this Knox:

Someday (maybe this winter) I hope to restore it but it will work great just the way it is to do popcorn this fall. The picture on this thread shows the belt is crossed to make the blower turn a different rotation from the flywheel. Is this correct or should the belt be installed uncrossed?
