dog hurt front leg (likely sprain) but is breathing heavily
2012年5月31日 · What is troubling me, however, is for the past 2 hours (and it is 12:40 now) he has been laying next to me and trying to get comfortable enough to sleep and his breathing has been a bit rapid. He is actually sleeping now comfortably on his belly and I put a light blanket supporting him, but his breathing is still troubling me.

2015年5月21日 · This can have shortness of breath or trouble breathing symptoms because the blood cannot deposit the oxygen into the red blood cells as fast as it needs to, which makes one feel as if they are almost always short of breath and needing more air. It would probably work the same in dogs. So maybe the heavy breathing is a result from the thicker blood.

2013年7月17日 · Paw licking is usually a symptom of allergies and being over weight will affect your dogs breathing as he is a bracycefalic breed( lhasa) also being poodle, he may have a soft palate.(pretty common also) I would definitely put him on a diet if he is that overweight...5-10 lbs on a toy sized dog is a lot!!!

2013年6月2日 · About a week ago he started breathing heavy while at rest, not panting but taking quick breaths with his mouth closed. I took him back to the vet and they said to give it a couple of days to see if he had leftover side effects from the steroid.

2024年10月25日 · I was very emotional and distracted when all this took place and I wanted for my dog to suffer as little as possible, so I basically agreed to everything. Now I wish I did more research, got second opinion, and called blood transfusion place to discuss options. My dog seemed fine, old, but still full of energy, playful, hungry all the time, etc.

2011年6月21日 · Her breathing is usually heavy, but her gums are always a deep pink color - even during the times she collapses. I haven't noticed any problems with her breathing, even if it is heavy panting... the noises are like little high pitched whimpers, like she's trying to tell me that she needs help - is in pain!!? (not sure how to explain it)
