2020年9月8日 · Absolutely typical behaviour for small Hornby short wheelbase locos going over Hornby insulfrog points at slow speed. Reported so very often in these forum pages. The only real long term and reliable fix is to fit the loco with a 'stay alive' decoder.

2021年12月30日 · There is no fault with Hornby R8072 on the crossovers but for unknown reasons (and the reason why I thought I'd ask for advice on how to solve the problem), the Hornby R8073 right hand points on the crossovers (as noted by Faults) seem to fail each time you drive a train from one side of the track to the other.

2020年1月31日 · The newer Hornby points are much better than the old ones and in some ways I now prefer them to the Peco Settrack ones, as the contacts with the switch rail seems better. One thing to bear in mind though is that if the spring breaks, you can get spares for the Peco points, but not the Hornby ones.
