Later JBL renamed it the 2426 and used a removable "snout" - and also produced a 2" exit version called the 2427 Many people thought the "S" meant special but my contact at JBL called the 2450 version as used in the DMS monitor ( 2450SL ) as the "snoutless" driver and that is what shows up in the service manuals...

2004年1月26日 · Apart from the mentioned differences of gauss values and attachment fixings, I believe there was a change in the metal type used for the "Flux Stabilizing Ring". The earlier 2425 model used a pure silver ring while the 2426/7 uses a copper ring . I own both and I don't hear any differences. I prefer the 2426 with it's removable snout.

Drivers: JBL 2235H Mid driver JBL 2206H I'm thinking of putting another box on top full length of the cabinet with driver JBL 2446H + 2310, JBL 2426 H + 2307 high JBL 2405. Any suggestions welcome. 2020年12月11日 · The driver you posted a link to is a 2" throat four bolt design. The 2344 horn is a one inch throat with three bolt holes. There are a great many one inch drivers on the market these days that perform as well or better than the JBL 2425 or 2426 drivers originally used with these horns but most are two bolt designs.
