2005年3月26日 · I don't remember the CPU's in question well enough to say, but others have commented that if you moved to the I7 you would also need a discrete graphics card. That's a double whammy. If the power supply was already "just enough" not only are you adding a higher wattage CPU, but a graphics card as well.

Fastest CPU for the old 1151 socket is the Intel® Core™ i7-7700K, very closely followed by the Xeon E3-1285 v6. As you can't get higher than 4 cores on the old 1151 socket I don't know if a CPU upgrade alone is worth it.
