I am using Packet Tracer for an initial lab. I am not understanding which router I am supposed to choose for the topology. I am trying to get a decice which has a Serial0/0/0 and canot find it. One of the routers has a Serial0/0 and the other a Serial0/0/0. Nothing I choose haas that cofiguration and it is making me pull what's left of my hair out.

I changed router int g0/0 to be in same subnet of switch 192.168.10.2 /24. I can now ping g0/0 from switch but have to assign default-gateway of 192.168.10.2 on each switch for each switch to be able to ping router. I can ping router g0/1 172.16.1.1 from switch but cannot ping beyond this port (I have a computer connected with nic 172.16.1.2).

Hi Jana, If you are using the file provided above ( 2.1.1.5-SimpleNetwork) , i just downloaded it and there's nothing wrong with it everything is right, i just had to restart the wireless router and it worked fine ( before i restarted it the laptop was connected but an apipa was used instead dhcp )
