We released 5 gopher tortoises this past week! Each of them we admitted to the hospital exhibiting different types of injuries. Some injuries were due to dog attacks, while others were displaced and experienced human interference. If you see a gopher tortoise wandering where you believe it doesn’t belong, please call the wildlife hospital so we can help assess the situation and help if needed.
